Jai Kirti Pipes JAI KIRTI A.C. Pressure Pipes
Asbestos Cement Pressure Pipes are manufactured using a proper mixture of superior grades of asbestos fibre, high quality Portland cement and water. Fibre is first milled and blended in a Kollergang. The pipes are manufactured with the most modern technology of MAZZA Process.
An intimately mixed fine aqueous slurry of cement and asbestos fibre is used. A machine having a rotary sieve cylinder with hog beaters dewaters the slurry and distributes the fibre appropriately. An endless felt under uniform vacuum is used to produce a continuous uniform thin lamina of approx. 0.25mm (with fibre orientation that is horizontal to lamina and criss-cross) which is wrapped around a steel mandrel under continuous high pressure (from a press beam) until a continuously & uniformly consolidated pipe with desired wall thickness is formed. The pipe is than kept in heavy tunnel for 4 to 6 hours for drying.
The material is thus of laminar construction formed under pressure to a homogenous structure.
The pipes are cured under water for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. After curing, the pipes are accurately machined at the ends.  Each and every pipe is then hydraulically tested to confirm to National and International Standards. Collars for joints are also manufactured from pipes made in the same way and later cut, accurately machined and tested.
Types of AC Pipes :
  1. Normal  as explained above.
  2. SRC : Using a special sulphate resistant cement for resistance to acidic soils/waters.
  3. Bitumen coated : The pipes and couplings are coated internally and externally with a special bituminous compound for resistance to aggressive soils /waters.
Nominal internal diameter : 80, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900 & 1000mm.
Nominal length : 4 to 5 meters in conformity with IS, 1592:2003 & ISO-160.
CLASSES (Pressure Ratings)
10 to 36 in conformity with National and International Standards (10, 15, 20, 25, or 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36)
Class : hydraulic pressure test (HPT) = twice the working pressure (WP)
Eg. Class 10=>HPT = 10 kg/sq cm and WP = 5kg/sqcm =5 bar = 0.5 MPa
